Laguna Beach’s Art Colony

Laguna Beach is not only known for its picturesque beaches but also for its vast array of Art Galleries. With more than 100 art galleries and studios, this quaint town is an “art colony”.

Here are a few of our favorite galleries Laguna Beach has to offer:

His work has been acquired for the permanent collections of corporations such as AT&T, IBM, and Anheuser-Busch, as well as notable private collections. Dawson Cole doubles as a perfect private event venue for cocktails prior to going on a dine around in eclectic Laguna Beach.

The collections showcase artists from Hungary, Bulgaria and China as well as more local artists from Southern California. You may also be interested in attending the First Thursday’s Art Walk, which occurs on the first Thursday of each month and is completely free. All galleries open their doors and offer personal tours from the artists as well as drinks and appetizers.

In the summer you can check out Laguna Beach’s Festival of the Arts, Home to the world-famous Pageant of the Masters. This festival features original artwork by 140 of Orange County’s best artists. They offer art workshops, guided art tours, nightly music entertainment, and multiple demonstrations. With numerous art-related attractions and events, The Festival of Arts provides entertainment for all.

Laguna Beach was discovered by artists! In 1918 those artists came together and founded the Laguna Beach Art Association. So, while Laguna is home to breathtaking beaches and beautiful views, its art scene is the true backbone of this eclectic city.
